Well...I've read everything, and I think I understand the difference between a Blog and a Wiki! I first became truly acquainted with a Wiki was when I was in LATI; it took a bit of trial and error for me to understand how to navigate among the various pages, what the fuction of the various sections of the Wiki were, and to quickly and easily find what I needed.
As I reviewed the Wiki for the ALA conference, I saw how effective it was in getting pertinent information to participants; I especially liked how easy it was to access the Post Conference Materials. The Wiki's that AACPL have allows information to be easily disseminated and accessed by all interested parties; quite useful, especially for Materials Management and Staff Development. I can see the importance of keeping Wiki's current!
I can't see any personal use for developing a Wiki yet; time will tell!
